Weddings at 74 Wythe

Home Venues 74 Wythe

The mosaic in the entryway stops you cold. It’s an homage to 1929, when this building was Superior Ingredients—a spice blending factory that supplied half of New York. Most couples book 74 Wythe before they’ve even made it to the rooftop. By the time they’re standing up there staring at the Manhattan skyline, wondering how this view exists in Williamsburg, the deposit is already a formality.

I set up on that rooftop constantly, and the space still gets me. The layout, the acoustics, the way guests drift naturally between the terraced levels without anyone herding them. Some venues fight every decision you make. This one works alongside you.
Before it became a wedding destination, this building housed Output—the legendary nightclub that defined Williamsburg’s electronic music scene. That sound system you’ll use for your reception? It was designed to handle world-class DJs pushing serious volume.

Why 74 Wythe Makes Sense for Your Wedding

The Building Has Actual Character

I’ve worked at venues that photograph beautifully but feel hollow when you’re actually standing in them—hotel conference rooms with better lighting. 74 Wythe is the opposite problem. The Art Deco bones are original, and you sense the history in every room. The posh wallpapered spaces, the contemporary design touches playing against 1929 architecture, that mosaic floor. Your photos will look incredible because nothing here is trying to be something it’s not.

That Rooftop Is the Real Deal

Five thousand square feet across four terraced levels with sweeping Manhattan skyline views. Your guests will audibly gasp when they walk out there for the first time—I’ve watched it happen at wedding after wedding. The retractable glass enclosure on the Main Deck and North Terrace means weather becomes a non-issue. April wedding? October celebration? You’re not gambling on the forecast.

The Sound System Is Next-Level

The Output nightclub legacy means the audio infrastructure throughout this building is exceptional. When I’m working The Room, I’m not fighting against the space—I’m working with equipment that was built to deliver. For couples who care about music (and if you’re reading this, you probably do), that distinction matters.

The Location Is Peak Brooklyn

You’re at the corner of Wythe Avenue and N. 12th Street in the heart of Williamsburg. The Wythe Hotel is literally next door. Brooklyn Brewery and Brooklyn Bowl are across the street. Domino Park is a short walk away. Your guests can take the L train to Bedford Ave, the G to Nassau, or hop on the East River Ferry. This is as Brooklyn as it gets—in the best possible way.

The Hidden Speakeasy Factor

Jbird Cocktails hides behind a painted blue door on N. 12th Street. A brick tunnel leads to this speakeasy-style lounge with an Art Deco horseshoe bar and custom ice-shaped glass chandelier. Some couples use it for cocktail hour, others for an after-party or a secret escape during the reception. Guests genuinely love discovering it.

The Spaces (And What They're Actually Like)

These rooms aren’t interchangeable—choosing the right configuration matters more than you might expect.

The Roof

This is what most couples picture when they think 74 Wythe, and for good reason. Five thousand square feet spread across four terraced levels:
  • Main Deck (2,300 sq ft) — The primary gathering space with retractable glass enclosure
  • North Terrace (1,200 sq ft) — Also enclosed, perfect for ceremony seating or a second bar
  • East Deck (200 sq ft) — Intimate corner with skyline views, great for couple’s moments
  • Crow’s Nest (1,100 sq ft) — The highest point, killer for photos and smaller group conversations
Full capacity is 400 standing or up to 325 for a seated dinner. For weddings with a dance floor, you’re looking at around 170 seated comfortably.
From a performer’s perspective: the outdoor A/V capabilities are solid, and the existing lounge furniture means you’re not starting from scratch. The heating and cooling systems actually work—your October rooftop wedding isn’t going to freeze anyone out.

The Room (Main Room & Mezzanine)

The premier indoor space, and it’s something special. Industrial warehouse architecture from the late 1920s meets Art Deco design with contemporary updates. Multiple street-level entrances, that custom mosaic inlay, and—the key detail—a built-in stage.
Performing in The Room is a pleasure because the acoustics are genuinely good. The high ceilings could be problematic in other spaces, but the sound system handles them. A rigging system allows for dramatic lighting moments, two full-service cocktail bars keep things moving, and a private Greenroom on the Mezzanine level provides refuge when needed.
Capacity: 365 standing, 200 seated for dinner, 200 theater-style.
For the wedding package, couples typically get The Room for cocktail hour (until 8pm)—a smart flow that moves guests from this gorgeous industrial space downstairs up to the rooftop for dinner and dancing.

The Greenroom

Tucked away on the Mezzanine, this 300-square-foot space is teal-designed and completely furnished. It works perfectly as a bridal suite for getting ready, a production office if you’ve got a planner running things, or just a private escape when someone needs five minutes away from the crowd. Holds about 15 people standing.

Jbird Cocktails

Hidden behind that blue door on N. 12th Street, this 2,300-square-foot speakeasy is genuinely hidden—not fake hidden like some “secret” bars that advertise on Instagram. The brick tunnel entrance, the 16-foot backbar with that custom glass chandelier, the ice display room, the bird-patterned decor—it all feels like stepping into another era.
Capacity: 80 standing, 60 seated, 60 theater.
Some couples use this for an intimate rehearsal dinner. Others incorporate it into the wedding day flow. Either way, it’s a space your guests will talk about afterward.

What It Costs (The Real Talk)

74 Wythe is not a budget venue. You’re getting 15,000 square feet of meticulously designed space in prime Williamsburg with Manhattan skyline views. That carries a price tag.
The wedding rental package includes:
  • Exclusive use of The Roof for any 12-hour period
  • The Loft & Courtyard included
  • Exclusive use of The Room for cocktail hour (until 8pm)
  • Exclusive use of the Greenroom (until 8pm)
  • Classic and Premium Open Bar package options
I don’t have exact pricing to share (those conversations happen with their events team), but couples who book here are investing in a premium experience. You’re not nickel-and-dimed on every add-on. The in-house furniture, the A/V capabilities, the sound system—it’s all included.
My advice: reach out directly for a quote. Explain your guest count, your date, whether you’re thinking rooftop-only or full building buyout. They’ll give you real numbers.
What you’re getting for your money: an award-winning venue (Here Comes the Guide named it Best Rooftop Wedding Venue; PartySlate called it one of the Best Unique Wedding Venues in Brooklyn for 2023; WeddingWire Couples’ Choice winner with five stars), genuine character, serious production capabilities, and a team that knows how to execute events at this level.

Why DLE Event Group for Your 74 Wythe Wedding

74 Wythe is the kind of venue where our hybrid DJ band approach really shines.
The sound infrastructure is exceptional, which means we can actually push it. When I’m performing on that rooftop with the skyline behind me, I’m not fighting equipment limitations or worrying about neighbor complaints. The venue was built for this. Our musicians can bring energy when the moment calls for it, and our DJ can drop tracks that hit the way they’re supposed to.
The multi-level flow of 74 Wythe also plays into what we do best. Ceremony on one level, cocktails in The Room, reception on the rooftop—each moment needs different energy, different sound, different vibe. Our hybrid approach means we’re not swapping out entire setups between moments. We adapt in real-time, keeping everything seamless.
I’ve also learned the quirks of this space over the years. The acoustic sweet spots on the rooftop. How sound carries between the terraced levels. Where to position for best sightlines during the first dance. That venue-specific knowledge only comes from performing somewhere repeatedly.
A space with this much personality deserves entertainment that matches. Generic background music would feel wrong here. What works is a performance with the same energy, the same intentionality, the same blend of classic and contemporary that defines 74 Wythe itself.

Other NYC Wedding Venues Worth Exploring

74 Wythe is incredible, but it’s one of many venues we perform at across New York City. If you’re still in the exploration phase, you might also consider:

  • Industrial Brooklyn lofts like The Green Building or Liberty Warehouse for that raw Brooklyn aesthetic
  • Manhattan rooftops with different skyline perspectives
  • Historic Brooklyn landmarks like the Brooklyn Botanic Garden or Prospect Park Boathouse
  • Williamsburg neighbors like The Wythe Hotel for a more intimate celebration
We’ve performed at hundreds of venues across NYC and beyond. Each one has its personality, its quirks, its sweet spots.

FAQs

Premier dates—think Saturday nights in September and October—book far in advance. Reach out 12-18 months ahead if you have a specific date in mind. Flexibility on day of week opens more options.
Yes. The retractable glass enclosure on the Main Deck and North Terrace provides weather protection while maintaining that outdoor feel. Heating and cooling systems are in place. I’ve performed at January events and August events there without issues.
Absolutely. Many couples do ceremony on one of the rooftop levels, cocktails in The Room, and reception back on the rooftop. The multi-space configuration is designed for exactly this flow.
74 Wythe works with preferred caterers and has a full-service bar operation. Contact their events team for specifics on catering partnerships and any flexibility.
This is Brooklyn, so street parking is limited. Nearby parking garages exist, and most guests take rideshare or public transit. The L, G, and East River Ferry are all within 8 minutes.
One of 74 Wythe’s genuine strengths. The building housed Output nightclub—the sound system and infrastructure can handle real volume. You’re not hitting noise complaints at 9pm like at some residential-adjacent venues.
Yes, though check with the events team on availability and pricing. It’s a fantastic space for rehearsal dinners, intimate after-parties, or incorporation into the main event flow.
More polished than industrial-raw spaces, but not stuffy. Art Deco meets contemporary Brooklyn. If you want character without feeling like you’re in a warehouse, 74 Wythe hits that balance.
